History

The Origins at the Service of the Pharmaceutical Industry

Fine Foods was born in 1984 due to the intuition of a scientist for a potential business: Food Supplements for Pharmaceutical companies looking for a portfolio differentiation. This is where the synergy between the two sectors was born: since inception it has been the engine of Fine Foods’ cross-fertilization and continuous improvement.

Made in Italy as guarantee of Quality

Since the origin, the quest for excellence has been FineFoods’ distinctive feature, bringing to customers the scientific rigor of Italian high quality in the Pharmaceutical contract manufacturing. Client’s loyalty and retention, since ever our priority, is the best evidence of a first class manufacturing exported in numerous countries.

Expansion and Growth at the service of our Clients

In the 40 years of our business life our manufacturing capacity has grown substantially, but also the range of technical and scientific solutions that we can offer to our clients: continuous investments in R&D and in Quality Control make of Fine Foods a reference for what concerns reliability and innovation.

Horizontal Integration: the Pharmatek acquisition

With the 2021 Pharmatek acquisition Fine Foods entered the new businesses of Cosmetics and Biocides, exploiting R&D synergies with the existing competence. The organization and the consolidated business model have expanded to welcome the newly acquired company, to capture future opportunities.

Sustainability to Support the Growth

ESG has been a decisive factor of Fine Foods’ growth for more than 10 years. In 2010 Fine Foods obtained the first ISO 14001 certification, on environmental  matters; in 2014 the OHSAS 18001, recently updated to the ISO 45001, on safety of the working place. Social Responsibility and Ethics have been object of compliance since 2015 with SMETA/SEDEX four Pillar inspections and with D.Lgs 231/2001.

Euro Cosmetic acquisition

After the Pharmatek-PMC acquisition, our growth in the CDMO cosmetics segment continued in the second half of 2021 when we acquired Euro Cosmetic. The company is active in the oral hygiene, skin and hair care, personal deodorant, body care and perfumery cosmetics sectors. This enables new commercial cross-selling synergies, new solutions and business opportunities.
