A new Vitek 2 Compact has been installed in the QC lab of the food supplement plant of Zingonia.

The new instrument can identify, with a high level of accuracy, genus and species of microorganisms.

Vitek 2 Compact, using a highly automated technology, can:

• identify bacteria Gram-negative, Gram-positive, spore-forming bacilli and yeasts;
• provide raw data with the highest accuracy;
• obtain analysis results within 18 hours;
• archive and manage output files.

The data generated by this technology are objective and include a relative reliability index.

Vitek 2 Compact is 21CFR11 compliant.
