Fine Foods has successfully passed a 4-pillar SMETA Ethical Trade audit with zero non-conformity.

The audit, carried out by SGS, assessed Fine Foods’s procedures on four pillars: Health and Safety, Labor standards, Environment and Business Ethics.

Besides inspecting paper procedures and records, SGS interviewed several members of Fine Foods’ staff chosen randomly at different levels of the organization chart, as well as a union representative, to confirm that a match existed between written procedures and real-life working environment.

In addition to the already obtained ISO 14001 (Environment) and OSAHS 18001 (Health and Safety of the workplace) certifications, the result of the SMETA audit is a further confirmation of Fine Foods’ commitment to its stakeholders for a socially responsible approach to business.
